Amir Honarmand

Founder & CEO

Amir Honarmand is a writer, director, and producer based in Vancouver. With over a decade of production experience in various positions, Amir entered the industry in 2007 after graduating with High Honors from the Toronto Film School's Computer Animation program in 2006.

An award-winning creative force, Amir's short films have earned acclaim, winning Best Short at the Reelworld Film Festival, Sharjah Film Festival, Kinolub Children Film Festival, and more. His visionary leadership at Ex Nihilo Productions reflects his unwavering commitment to excellence in the world of animation

Paul Darc

CFO

Paul is a successful business leader with 35 years of broad experience in entrepreneurial financial services businesses that operated in the entertainment, resource and retail industries.

He has skills in securities distribution in Canada and the U.S., managing client, investor, legal, banking and supplier relationships, operating shareholder managed business, cash flow control, commercial and tax litigation strategy and business restructuring strategy and execution. 

During his career he successfully initiated and completed multiple large and complex structured financings for mining and motion picture businesses as well as cross border equity and debt financings for expansion and acquisition.

Bruno Amezcua

Executive Creative Director

Bruno Amezcua, a Spanish-Canadian creative, launched his career directing animated shorts at George Elliott's Studio after graduating with a BFA in Fine Arts from Ciudad Real, Spain. Armed with a strong foundation in photography, visual arts, and screenplay training, Bruno has been a key collaborator on projects for renowned brands like Blue Sky, Disney Toon, Mythos Studios L.A., Netflix, and Amazon.

Recognized at the 2017 Daytime Emmy Awards for his outstanding contributions in animation, layout art, and lighting/compositing, Bruno has continued to soar in his career, taking on the role of Second Unit Director in Netflix's Next-Gen.

Andrew Marshall

Creative Executive

Andrew Marshall, an award-winning writer, has been crafting internationally produced films since 2015. Graduating with a BA degree in psychology in 2008, he pursued an MA.Ed in school counseling from Ottawa University in 2012. Beyond his success in the realm of storytelling, Andrew enriches our team with over a decade of experience in childhood education, having served as both a teacher and a counselor.
